The Professional Training Institute (PTI) was established by the Library of Alexandria to enhance its role in disseminating knowledge, learning and understanding between cultures and peoples. The PTI offers comprehensive professional development/training programs. It provides the public with professional training in various areas and specialties through the organization and implementation of training programs offered by the different BA departments. 

  1. Select the training program, course, or activity.
  2. Click APPLY NOW
  3. Sign in to your personal account. If you do not have an account, you must sign up in order to apply
  4. After signing in, submit the application for your selected training
  5. Upload your documents (if any is required)
  6. After saving your data, the course will be added to your profile pending the training provider’s acceptance.
  7. After acceptance, click the “PAY NOW” button and follow the payment instructions

Yes, you have to apply online

  1. When the training provider accepts your registration, the button “PAY NOW” shows in your profile and becomes clickable.
  2. Click “PAY NOW”
  3. Choose your preferred payment method: “online”, “BibAlex Tcketing Office” or “At the Bank”.
  • To pay online, enter the required data to complete your payment.
  • To pay at the Bibalex headquarters,
    1.  print the receipt with the barcode for the required course/program
    2. Where and when to pay:
  • The Main Library Entrance – Membership desk
  • Sundays and Thursdays From 10:00 Am to 03:30 PM
  • And Saturdays from 12:00 to 03:30 Pm

     4. To make sure the payment process was completed, whether online or at the BA headquarters, check your profile

 

No. Registration, submitting required documents and payments must be done before the start of training.

Some programs, courses or activities have prerequisites.  Please check the details of your selected training. 

A digital copy of your documents can be uploaded while registering or submitted in person before the start of training.

 Yes. The following are PTI’s refund policy 

  • Full Refund
  • If applicant cancels registration 10 days before starting date
  • If the Library of Alexandria cancels training for any reason
  • 50% Refund
  • If applicant cancels registration within 10 days of starting date and before 48 hours of starting date
  • No Refund
  • If applicant cancels registration at least 48 hours before starting date
  • Bank Fees

The applicant will be charged any bank fees incurred due to the refunding process

Refunding Procedures

Applicants to send an email to ba.pti@bibalex.org requesting refunds. Repayment will be done as follows:

  • Online Payment Refunds,
    • Refunds are credited back to the original credit card used for payment
    • The documents needed are copy of the credit card and hard copy of online payment receipt.
  • In cash transactions,
    • Refunds will be made through wire transfer to the applicant’s account
    • The documents needed for refunds are:
      • copy of ID
      • copy of the payment message sent to the applicant’s profile
      • bank account number
