Dr. Mostafa Kamal Tolba (8 December 1922 – 28 March 2016) was an eminent Egyptian scientist who served for seventeen years as the executive director of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).

Dr. Olga Andreeva is a Russian researcher, translator, and lawyer. She received her PhD from Goethe University, Germany, in 2015. She is a member of the working group on ALLATRA Science projects, and has presented the initiative at several events in Egypt and worldwide.

Omar Fikry

Dr. Omar Fikry is a specialist of physics and astronomy; with major in is solar physics. He obtained a BSc (1987) and an MSc (1992) in astronomy from the Faculty of Science, Cairo University; and a PhD in Physics (2006) from the Faculty of Science, Alexandria University. He is currently the Head of Planetarium Theater Section at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, a member of the Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Science and the International Planetarium Union, and the vice-president of the Egyptian Society for Astronomy. Fikry has an interest in simplifying science in general, and physics and astronomy in particular.

Reem Sassy

Born in Alexandria, Reem Sassy received her BSc in Dental Medicine in 1999 from Alexandria University. She first worked as a dental practitioner in both the public and private sectors, and then decided to join the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Planetarium Science Center (PSC) team in 2009. She worked as a workshop’s animator and events coordinator. In 2013, she obtained her Master’s degree in International Public Health from Senghor University. Since then, she has worked in different fields related to informal education and is currently a scientific data review specialist at the PSC.

Shaymaa Elsherif

Born in 1975, Dr. Shaymaa El-Sherif graduated from Ecole Saint Joseph d’Alexandrie in 1992 and received her PhD in French Literature from the Faculty of Arts, Alexandria University, in 2009. Before joining the Bibliotheca Alexandrina in 2003, she has worked in several fields since 1996. Currently, Dr. Shaymaa is the Acting Head of the BA Halls and the Dialogue Initiatives Department and a lecturer at the Arab Academy for Science and Technology. Her first novel Book of Jerusalem was published in 2013. She has written several articles published in Al-ahram, Nahdet Misr and Al-Shorouk newspapers and is currently writing her second novel.

Sherine Ramadan

Sherine Ramadan works at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina since 2006, as an editor, translator, and event organizer. She is interested in the ancient history of science, and has wrote several articles about it for SCIplanet magazine. Currently, she is a PhD student at the History, and Egyptian and Islamic Archeology Department, Faculty of Arts, Alexandria University. In 2014, she obtained her Master’s degree in Ancient Egyptian Language, Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, Alexandria University. Sherine has participated in several training courses of the European Union programme (Erasmus+) and the Egyptian Ministry of Youth.
