Abstract: To satisfy the growing demand for soy, large scale deforestation is taking place in Latin America and small farmers' land are being transformed into large soy plantations. Key words in the publication are: land conflicts, genetic manipulation, modern slavery, pollution, deforestation, increasing unemployment and decreasing biodiversity. Aside from an analysis of the aforementioned, the report also delves into the relationship with the Netherlands and Europe and what can be done in countries that produce or import soy.
