Abstract: This report discusses the Water Resource Inventory Study in Kapoeta County, Sudan, commissioned by SNV. The study was necessary to validate the status of existing water sources within the state in terms of 1) their functionality, 2) management of the water systems and, 3) institutional capacity to operate and maintain existing and or new water services. The study aimed to generate data that would assist the county and state in making informed sector decisions in planning and investments for sustainable service delivery. The data would at the same time feed into sector policy & strategy improvements at the macro and meso levels.
