The Prize Mission
Named after the legendary chemist Dmitry Mendeleev, the prize recognizes individual scientists whose achievements in the basic sciences—Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and Biology—have had a profound impact on humanity and international scientific cooperation.
Award Details
Each year, the prize is awarded to two individual winners. Each recipient receives:
- A monetary reward of USD $250,000.
- A UNESCO gold medal.
- An official diploma.
