The BA Launches the First Edition of the Arabic Translation of Dewey Decimal Classification

In light of the leading role played by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina on the regional and international level to provide technical support for libraries and information institutions in the Arab world, the BA Library Sector launched the first edition of the Arabic translation of the first, second, and third volume of the Dewey Decimal Classification.

Dr. Moustafa Elfeki, Director of the BA, highlighted the importance of this edition, since it is the first complete, organizational Arabic version of the Dewey Decimal Classification (23rd edition and its updates until March 2019). He also pointed out that it is the first Arabic edition to be consistent with its English equivalent of the Dewey Classification, with its classified, chronological divisions, in addition to several other features that distinguish this edition...more
