   Biography
 
Mohamed El-Faham is Scientific Advisor and Director of the Center for Special Studies and Programs (CSSP), Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Egypt. He is also a Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Control Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport in Alexandria. He received his BSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alexandria and his MSc and DSc in Electrical Engineering from the George Washington University, Washington DC, USA. He is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE). El-Faham is author/co-author of a number of publications. As the Director of the CSSP, he monitors supporting young researchers through a number of programs through the BA/CSSP Research Grants program for postdoctoral Egyptian researchers, and the Micro Research Grants for Egyptian innovative children. In addition to a series of events he initiates, aiming at researchers capacity building in the fields of science, technology and education. Another important role is linking and networking Arab scientist and researchers through the hosted Arab Regional Office of the The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS).
