  Abstract

Robust protecting groups demanded for the synthesis of biomaterials incorborating complex oligosaccharides
N-Acetylglucosamine in the form of β-linked polysaccharides, oligosaccharides and sometimes monosaccharide either native or as glycoconjugate. The glucosylation strategy demands robust N-amino protecting groups that survive under various conditions and also deprotected under mild conditions. Such protecting groups have developed and used for the synthesis of various complex oligosaccharides, such tetra- and octa-sccharides.
