Dr. Nasser Said Al-Salti

Biography:

Dr. Nasser Al-Salti is Assistant Professor of Applied Mathematics in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Sultan Qaboos University, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. He received his PhD in Applied Mathematics in 2010 from the University of St Andrews, Scotland; MSc in Mathematical Sciences in 2002 from the University of Central Florida, USA; and BSc in Mathematics in 2000 from Sultan Qaboos University, Oman. He started his academic career as an Instructor at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, at Sultan Qaboos University, in August 2000.

His research interest includes MHD, magnetic reconnection, nanofluidic phenomena and fractional differential equations. Currently, he is working in a number of research projects in his area of research as Principal Investigator and a Co-Investigator. He is also involved in a co-supervision of several PhD and MSc students, as well as supervisor of undergraduate projects. Dr. Al-Salti's teaching interest includes calculus and differential equations. He has a long experience in teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses.

Dr. Nasser Al-Salti was as an Assistant Dean for Training and Community Services in the College of Science, Sultan Qaboos University, 2013�2017; and currently he is Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Studies at the College of Science.
