Mr. Eric Oechslin

Biography:

Eric Oechslin is a French economist holding a Postgraduate Certificate in Mathematical Economy and Econometrics from the Pantheon-Assas University (Paris II). He worked for 13 years as Senior Advisor for Europe at the International Organization of Employers (IOE), which is the largest business organization dealing with labor and social issues. He focuses on activities related to social security, human resources, and fights against human trafficking and corruption. In February 2012, he joined the ILO as Senior Specialist for Employers� Activities for the North African region covering 12 countries. Among his most prominent achievements are the establishment of human resource academies in Algeria, Egypt, Tunisia, and Morocco, as well as the assessment of several business associations to guide them towards more member-oriented approaches. In April 2019, he was appointed Director of the ILO Decent Work Team for North Africa, and the ILO Country Office for Egypt.
