Center for Special Studies and Programs (CSSP), a research center established in July 2003 in the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, aims to play a significant role in the progress of science and technology in Egypt. The CSSP will help researchers and scientists to get the best support needed to advance their work through international collaborations.

For young Egyptian Postdoctoral Researchers seeking funds in one of the following areas of study:

  • Agricultural Sciences
  • Earth Sciences
  • Biology
  • Information Technology
  • Biochemistry & Biophysics
  • Mathematics
  • Chemistry
  • Medical Sciences
  • Engineering Sciences and Technologies
  • Physics and Astronomy
Eligibility and Deadlines:
  1. Egyptian Scholars who have completed their PhD within the past five years (following December 1999) or who will achieve their PhD before end December 2005 .
  2. Applicants must have a current position at a public/private academic or research institution in Egypt.
  3. Currently engaged or can arrange to work on a joint research project with foreign counterpart(s) at a university or research center abroad.
  4. Applicant must not exceed 35 years by January 2005.
  5. Grant applications must be submitted before 15 July 2005.
