In this workshop Dr. Hefny described the future of water resources conflicts and sustainable use, the strategy of management of water resources conflicts, focusing on negotiation, mediation and decision-making processes.
Dr. Hefny confirms that journalism is not just a job, but it’s a mission conveyed by its messengers whom are the journalists, that’s why we call it in Egypt "صاحبة الجلالة" which means her majesty. A journalist writing in the scientific field should have unique skills differing than others including that he/she should be enlightened, accurate and precise, has the ability to process information and simplify it, have an ethical background and being up-to-date as science is dynamic.

This workshop gave an overview about how hazardous wastes are generated, and how they should be handled and transferred with special precautions to specialized landfills and different treatment processes for different types. Besides, Dr. Soliman introduced the participants to “Basel Convention” and how the transportation and movements between countries of hazardous wastes and their safe disposal is carried out, so as to protect human health and the environment against the adverse effects of hazardous wastes

In this workshop the situation and the problem of solid wastes in Egypt was discussed in details especially the municipal solid wastes not only due to its environmental impact but also for its health impacts on the community.

Lighting is the largest electricity user in different sectors of consumption, it accounts for 25 % of the total energy sold in Egypt.
