This seminar is organized by the BA Francophone Library in collaboration with the French Development Agency (FDA). The title of the seminar is inspired by Yann Arthus-Bertrand’s book, which was donated to the BA by the French Development Agency in 2015. The photos included in the book will be displayed in an exhibition held prior to the seminar.

This seminar comes as a part of the World Development Information Day on 24 October, and on the occasion of the 21st Conference of the Parties to the 2015 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) hosted by France under the title “Paris 2015”.

The Francophone Library will host Hadrien Gaudin from the French Development Agency, Dr. Reem Abdel Hamid Hussein from Senghor University, and a group of students from Cairo University who took part in the COP21 held in cooperation with the FDA. During the event, a screening will be held for Yann Arthus-Bertrand’s film, Home, which tackles the topic of climate change and how to understand and solve the issues facing humankind at the moment.

The seminar will be held in French, and a book fair will be held showcasing books on climate change.
