“Serious Games” in a Webinar at the BA

The BA Library Sector organizes a webinar titled “Serious Games: Promising Opportunities for Better Health and More Exciting Learning”, delivered by Dr. Ahmed Morsi, Head of the Biomedical Engineering Department, at the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University. It will be broadcast live on Sunday, 14 March 2021, at 2:00 pm, through the BA Information Services Facebook page:

Although the term “serious game” is not new, it has garnered significant attention over the past ten years, most notably in the fields of health-care and e-learning. In this respect, the webinar will tackle the following questions:
- What is a “serious game”?
- How can this type of games revolutionize the methods of training and learning?
- How did the “serious games” succeed in providing real opportunities for various applications that offer diagnosis and medical treatment, as well as those that promote exercise and sports?
- Why do games attract and motivate learners?
The webinar will also highlight the importance of utilizing the momentum of the “serious games” in order to serve many national and economic goals.
