The BA Launches “Innovate Now… Live Tomorrow” Program

The BA Information for Africa (BAIFA) and the Francophone Network Units are pleased to launch their annual program for the year 2021, entitled "Innovate Now... Live Tomorrow".

This program, which revolves around the theme “Innovation in Time of Crisis”, is held in alignment with the general approach adopted by the international community and the Egyptian state in dealing with the aftermath of the coronavirus pandemic, since both are still deeply affected by it, and are looking into its global impact on people’s livelihoods. It is worth noting that this current health crisis resulted in a number of innovations in different domains, such as improved healthcare processes, and new medical devices and educational techniques, among others.

Moreover, this program aims to highlight the innovations and creative measures taken in different sectors, in an effort to address the economic and social impact of the pandemic. The following sub-themes will be tackled in this regard: education; digital health; library information science (LIS); information and communications technology (ICT); and Africa/ Francophone countries in the time of coronavirus.
