The BA Releases a New Issue of Memory of Egypt Magazine

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina released the 46th issue of Memory of Egypt magazine, which tackles some features of heritage in Egyptian society that is characterized by diversity and cultural richness. The issue also highlights a number of centenaries of prominent figures and events.

Dr. Moustafa Elfeki, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, discussed in the issue’s op-ed two remarkable figures who passed away last year: Dr. Hamed Ammar, a pioneer of education, and Dr. Mahmoud Hamdy Zakzouk, the distinguished Professor of Islamic Philosophy, and former Minister of Religious Endowment. He noted that both figures are a vivid example of creativity in their respective fields.

Memory of Egypt magazine was one of the BA best-selling publications in the book fairs organized in Egypt and abroad in 2021. A special issue of the magazine on the history of civil work in Egypt is soon expected to be released, marking 2022 as the year of civil society.

It is worth mentioning that Memory of Egypt is a quarterly magazine distributed by Akhbar El-Yom Foundation, by virtue of an agreement with the BA. It is also available at the BA sales outlets.
