Martyrdom in the Writings of the Early Church Fathers and History of the Early Church

As part of Fifth Coptic Cultural Season in Cairo, the BA Center for Coptic Studies, is organizing a lecture titled “Martyrdom in the Writings of the Early Church Fathers and History of the Early Church”, on Sunday, 1 March 2015.
Delivered by Priest Seraphim Baramos, researcher at the University of St. Andrews in England, the lecture sheds light on the early church martyrs, whose biographies, works and sufferings were passed on to us through the writings of historians and early church fathers.
The lecture will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at the Center’s premises in Cairo: the Administrative Building, Sofitel Maadi Hotel, next to the Sadat Academy for Management Sciences, at the BA office on the 23rd floor.
