The BA Launches the French Documentary Golden Age of Islam with Arabic Narration

Alexandria— As part of the BA's Fifth Anniversary, the BA will screen on Sunday, 21 October 2007, the French documentary Golden Age of Islam, which is a documentary covering the evolution of different science branches through the works of famous Arab scholars, Arabic narration in the film by Dr. Adel Refaat and Bahgat El-Nady, both are experts at the UNESCO.

The BA History of Science Museum is organizing a one day event to celebrate the launch of the documentary at the Planetarium Science Center (PSC). Following the film, an open discussion with Dr. Adel Refaat, Bahgat El-Nady, and the participants will take place.

The event will include a lecture by Dr. Youssef Zeidan, Director of the Manuscript Center and Museum, on the participation of Arab scholars in the Islamic civilization, and their impact on humanity.

The documentary will be screened at 17:00 hrs., BA Conference Center, Delegates Hall.
