The BA Theater Production Grant Results

The BA Arts Center is announcing the winners of the 2015–2016 BA Production Grant which was announced on 21 June 2015. The Center received 49 applications by directors and troupes for the grant, and these applications underwent a selection process.
Later on, 18 projects were disqualified for not meeting the criteria expected by the grant rules. The 31 remaining projects were reviewed by an independent committee. The three final winning acts are Nesa’a Shakespeare (Shakespeare’s Women) by director Mohamed el-Taye’e (Tamarod Art Group), Hamlet by director Monadel Antar, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream by director Mohamed Mekki (Helm Group). These selected shows will be presented on the BA stages from 1 September 2015 until 1 July 2016 (maximum five performances per show).
