Hieroglyphics and Arabic Calligraphy Courses at the BA

Posted on

Alexandria— With the beginning of the summer holiday, the BA Calligraphy Center is organizing two courses on Hieroglyphic language and Arabic Calligraphy, to develop students skills, improve their handwriting, and to develop their artistic and aesthetic sense through teaching them calligraphy designs. The courses link children and young people to Egypt's ancient past, arts and archaeology, and attract different age groups to learn about many aspects of the ancient Egyptian civilization and language.

Dr. Khaled Azab, Deputy Director, Calligraphy Center, stated that during the courses the Center will organize field trips to the BA Antiquities Museum, and some Alexandrian mosques to review Arab Calligraphy masterpieces. The children will be awarded certificates and prizes upon the completion of the courses.

Dr. Azab added that, during the hieroglyphic course, children will apply what they learn using colors, cardboard and clay.
