The Alexandria Project is one of the most significant research projects carried out by the BA since its establishment. The project is designed primarily to serve researchers who are interested in the study of the Ancient Library of Alexandria, Ancient Alexandrian scholarship, Alexandrian culture and civilization, and other relevant topics.

The project aims to raise public awareness of the Ancient Library, scientific and intellectual achievements of Ancient Alexandria, the history of Ancient Alexandria through the ages, and all aspects related to the heritage of Ancient Alexandria and its passage to subsequent civilizations.

The project seeks to achieve its goal through promoting research and organizing workshops, seminars, conferences, general lectures, and other public awareness activities for various age groups.

The project also endeavors to develop comprehensive collections of information resources on related topics to be available to readers and researchers at the BA, in addition to publishing a series of well-documented studies for researchers and the general public on the different aspects covered by the project.
