Launching the 5th phase of the “Youth for Change” Program
The BA is preparing, in collaboration with TakingITGlobal (TIG), to launch the 5th phase of the “Youth for Change” program under the title “ICT: Supporting Leaders of the Future”.
This phase will be relaunched following the success of its four previous phases with the help of several local coordinators, as well as a number of Middle Eastern and North African organizations. Participants of this phase will be comprised of 10 Arab countries, including: Jordan, Bahrain, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Tunisia, Oman, Lebanon, Egypt, and Mauritania.
The purpose of the program is to familiarize young Arab leaders with the field of ICT and to use their technological talents and skills to face community challenges.
It furthermore aims to create an active network of young ICT leaders, while offering laureates mini-grants in order to carry out their projects and initiate changes in their societies.
This phase provides support to its participants via training courses that teach them how to manage projects, how to make greater use of the online resources offered by the program online, and how to fully benefit from capacity-building workshops. Similarly, it presents its participants the opportunity to participate in symposiums in order to exchange knowledge among large groups of young people, discuss topics of interest, and to showcase the achievements of their outstanding projects through both the site and the program’s accounts on social networks.
In light of the program’s previous achievements, the BA is announcing a call for participation in the program in cooperation with TakingItGlobal.
