The BA Arts Center organizes the “Street Festival” on Friday, 4 June 2010.

The Festival is held in cooperation with Goethe-Institut Alexandria, the Japanese Foundation, the Greek Cultural Foundation, Sawarna Ya Zamam Initiative, Anpie Center, Rézodance Association, Tamareen Center, Alexandria International Festival (AlexFest), Eskenderella Association for Culture and Arts, and Alex Agenda.

The Festival features various activities that appeal to children and adults including: asphalt painting, mural painting, face painting, flying kites, origami, storytelling, hip-hop dance, folk dance and music, in addition to Zaman and El-Masreyeen Bands.

Street Festival is held on the occasion of naming Alexandria the Capital of Arab Tourism. The Festival is the first event organized by the Alexandria Cultural Forum, a network of institutions working in culture and art in Alexandria, emerging from an initiative by the BA Arts Center during a roundtable held on the fringe lines of the Eight International Summer Festival that took place last year.

Street Festival takes place at 2:30 pm in Ismail Youssrry street, in front of Alexandria Stadium, and is open for public for free.
