Sadat Museum Celebrates International Archives Day 2018

The BA Sadat Museum is celebrating International Archives Day on Thursday, 7 June 2018 at the BACC by organizing a workshop entitled "The Sadat Archive between the Past and the Future". The workshop will include a presentation of the Sadat archive, which has been put together by the BA, and its most important items. The event will also include a discussion by the attendees on several points to introduce International Archives Day and its main goals.
This year's celebration is held under the theme of “Archives: Governance, Memory and Heritage".
Since its inception in 2008, International Archives Day has aimed to raise public awareness of the importance of archives as a memory of peoples and communities, thus providing the basis for their identity. It is also an essential element for decision-makers within an information society. In this age, archives cannot be done without, as they are sources of information that lay the foundation for any important project or decision.
