The BA Organizes “The Effect of Political Changes on Coptic Manuscripts Images” Lecture

As part of its events and activities, the Center for Coptic Studies at the BA organizes a lecture entitled “The Effect of Political Changes on Coptic Manuscripts Images from the Tenth to the Fifteenth Century.” It is held on Tuesday, 30 October 2018, at 6:00 pm, at the BA Sinnari House in Cairo.

The lecture is given by His Grace Bishop Martiros, General Bishop of East Railway Churches in Cairo who holds a PhD in Coptic Art. It tackles the study of political changes that affected the images of Coptic manuscripts in the period between the tenth and fifteenth century, which is one of the most important and vital periods in Coptic history.

The lecture is open for all those interested in Coptic art, civilization and heritage, and comes as part of the ninth Coptic Cultural Season in Cairo that is organized by the Center for Coptic Studies at the BA, in cooperation with Sinnari House.
