The BA Organizes a Workshop on the Preservation of World Documentary Heritage, In Collaboration with the UNESCO

The BA Library Sector, in collaboration with the UNESCO, organizes a regional workshop on building capacity in the field of preserving world documentary heritage. The workshop takes place from 30 July to 1 August 2019, and will be attended by a host of prominent international figures in the heritage domain.
The workshop invites a group of experts from Egypt and several Arab countries to activate the role of the national committees of the UNESCO’s “Memory of the World” program, which was established in 1992 to ensure the preservation and accessibility of world documentary heritage (printed and digital). Moreover, the workshop will give several countries, like Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Tunisia, Syria, Lebanon and Sudan, the opportunity to acquire and exchange knowledge in this regional event.
