Ten Years Since the Launch of YESBU

Posted on

The BA celebrates on Saturday, 10 November 2012, ten years since the launch of the “Youth for Environmental Sustainability and Better Understanding” (YESBU) Program, targeting young people from 13 to 17 years old.

The event features several environmental and artistic activities at the BA Plaza, a documentary film about YESBU, and presentations by youth on how YESBU has been influential to them.

Launched in 2002, YESBU aims to raise environmental awareness among youth, encourage scientific thinking and youth engagement, and encourages team work, through weekly lectures held every Sunday, in addition to a number of field trips and capacity building workshops.

In 2006, the BA also launched the League for Young Masters (LYM) program targeting university students from 18 to 25 years old.

The event is held at the BA Plaza at 11:00 am, and at the BACC Lectures Hall at 1:00 pm. It is open for public.
