The Bibliotheca Alexandrina Re-opens to Researchers
After a long period of closure due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina has re-opened its doors to researchers and graduate students from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, except Fridays and Saturdays, while working with only 20% capacity rate; a procedure outlined by the Egyptian government.
The BA took all precautionary measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus. The BA main building is regularly being sterilized, and a safe distance is being kept between the visitors and staff. Visitors are required to wear facemasks and disinfect their hands when touching any surfaces. They are also allocated specific seats apart from each other.
