The “Tomb of Sennedjem” in an Online Lecture at the BA
The BA Antiquities Museum and the Zahi Hawass Center of Egyptology, in collaboration with the Department of Archaeology and Civilization, Faculty of Arts, Helwan University, organize an online lecture entitled “The Tomb of Sennedjem”. It will be delivered by Dr. Ahmed Younes Mohammed, Lecturer of Egyptology, at the Department of Archaeology and Civilization, Faculty of Arts, Helwan University, and will take place on Wednesday, 30 June 2021, at 7:30 pm, through the following Facebook page:
The lecture will shed light on a tomb in the ancient village of Deir el-Medina on the west bank of Thebes, which belonged to an artisan in Set Maat (The Place of Truth) called Sennedjem, who lived during the reigns of Seti I and Ramesses II. His tomb was discovered by Gaston Maspero, and explored by French Egyptologist Bernard Bruyère, whose studies on the excavations were published in 1959.
