The BA Center for Special Studies and Programs (CSSP), in cooperation with the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, organized a workshop entitled “Applied Research: From Theory to Marketing”, from 8 to 9 November 2021. The workshop was held under the umbrella of the Postdoctoral Research Grants Program, a joint initiative between the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology and the BA.

The workshop aimed at developing the skills of young Arab and African PhD holders, under the age of 45, and training them to explore the means of research marketing. It also examined how researchers could obtain funding, and highlighted the importance of cooperation between African scientists, and how it could enrich the research and development in Africa.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Marwa El-Wakil, Head of the BA Academic Research Sector; and Professor Amr Farouk Abdel Khaleq, Assistant President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology.

Researchers from five Arab and African countries, together with a host of researchers from nineteen Egyptian governorates, took part in the workshop.
