Coinciding with the World Arabic Language Day celebrations, the BA Writing and Scripts Center, in collaboration with the Information Communication Technology Sector, is launching the "Bibliography of Arabic and Islamic Inscriptions" website, on Thursday, 15 December 2022, at 1:00 pm, in the BACC Delegates Hall. The event will be attended by a host of scholars, researchers and specialists in the fields of archaeology, history, libraries and oriental languages.

The website aims to introduce the scientific output of researchers in the field of Arabic and Islamic inscriptions. It also emphasizes the role of the BA in facilitating the work of researchers, by providing a bibliographic description of each study, and a brief summary of each entry. In addition, the website gives researchers an opportunity to add their new scientific production, with an aim of establishing the largest electronic catalogue of studies of Arabic and Islamic inscriptions.

For more than three years, a research team from the Writing and Scripts Center has developed a comprehensive vision and a flexible work plan to complete the contents of the website, which in turn has been subject to scientific review and proofreading. It is worth noting that the logo of the website was designed in square Kufic script by the famous designer Dr. Mamoun Sakkal.
