The Bibliotheca Alexandrina is organizing the third session of the Alexandria Dialogues Forum, under the title “Challenges of Publishing… Problems and Solutions” on Tuesday, 21 March 2023, from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm, at the BA Conference Center, Delegates Hall.

The meeting will be inaugurated by Prof. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, with the participation of Dr. Ahmed Bahy El-Din, Chairman of the General Egyptian Book Organization; Mr. Said Abdu, President of the Egyptian Publishers Union; and Mr. Mohamed Rashad, President of the Arab Publishers Union.

The session will address the most important current challenges facing the publishing industry in light of modern technologies, and will present a set of solutions and mechanisms that may be feasible for the recovery of the publishing market, as well as the development and promotion of the book industry.

It is worth mentioning that the "Alexandria Dialogues" series was launched by the BA last November at the initiative of Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the BA. It is a periodic meeting through which an open dialogue is held with the public to discuss political, economic, social and cultural affairs, thus emphasizing the role of the BA in being the link between state officials, intellectuals and the public, while building bridges of cooperation between the pillars of the Egyptian cultural movement, and participating in foreseeing future policies.
