Established in 2002, marking the Library’s official inauguration, the BA Bookshop is now operating two shops inside the Library complex, namely the BA Bookshop located at the main Library entrance and the Planet Shop at the Planetarium Science Center.
The BA Bookshop provides a wide variety of products, Egyptian handicrafts, and books from well-known national and international publishers, targeting both Egyptians and non-Egyptians and focusing on promoting the Library, Alexandria and Egypt.
The Planet Shop focuses primarily on experimental and educational products and books for children aged 5 years and above, and it also attracts the interest of adults.
The two bookshops operate not only within the BA, but also outside its borders through distributing BA publications to major bookstores in Cairo and participating in local and international book fairs.
