The Visits Department launched this project in 2012. It aims to reach out to schools in remote areas of Alexandria and give them the opportunity to visit the Library. These visits will introduce primary and preparatory school students to the BA and its history, architecture, activities, and services. In addition to that, the Visits Department, in cooperation with the Writings and Scripts Studies Center, offers a comprehensive, diverse program that is suitable for different age groups. The program includes a film screening of The BA: Past, Present and Future, which illustrates the history of the ancient library of Alexandria and the attempts to revive it. It also includes interesting shows for children and workshops organized by the Writings and Scripts Studies Center.
