Research Grants 2005 Winners

Alexandria—More than 80 young Egyptian postdoctoral researchers in the fields of Agricultural Sciences, Biology, Biochemistry& Biophysics, Chemistry, Engineering Sciences& Technologies, Earth Sciences, Information Technology, Mathematics, Medical Sciences and Physics& Astronomy have applied for the BA Research Grants offered annually to young Egyptian postdoctoral researchers by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.

On Tuesday , the 5th of September and during a ceremony attended by Dr. Mohamed El-Faham, Director of the Center for Special Studies and Programs (CSSP), Dr. Yehia Halim Zaki, Head of the Academic and Cultural Sector at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA), and Dr. Salah Soliman, BA Consultant, the 10 final winners signed the contracts.





The BA has initiated this yearly program as a step towards scientific and research progress, in order to offer young Egyptian postdoctoral researchers the chance to transform their theories into reality. The grants are totally financed by the BA.

Dr. Sodky Hamed Mohamed: Physics And Astronomy –Sohag University
Dr. Mohamed Ihab Elmasry: Engineering Sciences And Technologies- Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport
Dr. Ahmed BahaaEldeen Elseragy: Engineering Sciences And Technologies- Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport
Dr. Wael Mohammed Lotfy: Biology- Medical Research Institute
Dr. Tamer Hassan Mohamed: Medical Sciences-Alexandria University
Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Herzallah: Mathematics- Zagazig University
