The BA Announces the Candidates Selected for the Research Grants 2006

Alexandria— The Center for Special Studies and Programs (CSSP) will announce on Saturday, 14 July 2007, the candidates selected for the first phase of the BA 2006 research grants program. The program started in February 2004, incorporated a huge number of PhD holders from various Egyptian universities.

Ten candidates will be announced for the 2006 research grants' competition, who have presented their research papers on various topics: agriculture, biology, chemistry, engineering and technology, information technology, and physics.

The celebration will start with an opening speech by Dr. Mohamed Faham, Director, CSSP, followed by presentations by the previous years research grants candidates, a lecture by Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director, the Library of Alexandria, and finally, the names will be announced.

It is worth mentioning that the BA adopted this initiative as a step on the path to scientific progress and research, paving the way for distinguished researchers to transform their theoretical research work to reality. The CSSP funds the winning research papers, within the framework of a financial strategy, adopted by the BA.

The event will start at 9:00 hrs. at the Lectures Hall, BA Conference Center.
