The BA is honored to inaugurate the RIBA President’s Medals Award Exhibition 2015, alongside the award ceremony of the 2016 Hassan Fathi Award for Architecture, on 2 November 2016 in collaboration with the Royal Institute of British Architects.

The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) awards the RIBA President’s Medals annually to celebrate and promote excellence in the study of architecture, reward talent, and encourage architectural debate worldwide.

The exhibition showcases the works of the winners and a selection of entries submitted to the 2015 competition. All entries can be viewed online through the RIBA President’s Medals official website.

Over the last few years, the President’s Medals exhibitions have toured venues all over the UK and have travelled to Australia, Bulgaria, Chile, China, Cyprus, Egypt, France, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Ireland, Lebanon, Malaysia, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates.

The exhibitions have been touring the world as a result of the generosity of hosting venues, which partner with the RIBA to display the exhibitions and to promote them to the architectural community and other audiences interested in the filed.

The exhibition will be inaugurated by Professor David Gloster, the RIBA Education Department president and the distinguished jury members of the Hassan Fathi Award for Architecture 2016. Various architecture professors and eminent architects from Egypt and abroad, as well as several representatives from various national and international institutions—including the BA, the Architecture Committee of the Supreme Council of Culture, the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture (the Mies van der Rohe Award), the Society of Egyptian Architects, and the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate (Architecture Division)—will also be in attendance.
