The Fifth International Forum “History of Writings, Calligraphies, and Inscriptions in the World throughout the Ages”

The BA Calligraphy Center, in cooperation with Alexandria and Mediterranean Research Center (Alex Med), organizes the Fifth International Forum of Writings and Inscriptions entitled “The Inscriptions and Writings in the Cities and Deserts of North Africa” from 16 to 18 October 2012.
The Forum aims at studying the writings and inscriptions in the cities and deserts of North Africa in: Egypt, Libya, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco and Mauritania. A series of specialized lectures will be delivered by a group of experts, allowing the exchange of experiences and information on both the regional and global levels.
On the fringe lines of the Forum, a new version of The Digital Library of Inscriptions and Calligraphies will be launched.
