Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis Exhibition

The BA Special Projects Department and Arts Center, in collaboration with the Embassy of Lithuania in Egypt, hold an exhibition of the Lithuanian Composer, Painter, Writer, and Photographer Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis (1875- 1911) from 13 December 2012 to 2 January 2013.
 

Čiurlionis was, and still is, a prominent figure not only in Lithuanian art, but also in the art of Europe.
 

The Exhibition displays 24 pieces of Čiurlionis paintings, 12 of his photographs, drop-papers depicting his life and work, and audiovisual presentation of artworks and music.
 

The Exhibition aims to strengthen the Egyptian- Lithuanian mutual relations. It is worth mentioning that the BA has organized the “Memory of Modern Egypt” event in Lithuania in March 2012, and participated in “The Days of Arab Culture” activities that was also held in November.
