Remote interactive services for children and young people at the BA

Posted on

The BA Children and Young People Libraries are currently offering, through their social media accounts, some interactive information services for children and young people. These services include story narrations presented by famous writers of children’s literature, as well as an introduction to the most important websites that can help them develop their personal skills and increase their cultural knowledge. The two libraries also introduce young people to the methods of distance learning, and the ways through which they can learn foreign languages online. Moreover, they give information on ways of preventing coronavirus and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Parents can also make use of these remote services that offer short lectures and interviews with specialists in medical care and psychology, to discuss important subject matters that concern the Egyptian family, such as how to deal with their children at this stage in their lives, and how to make good use of their time at home.

It is worth mentioning that the BA is working on increasing and diversifying its digital services, which include 200,000 books available online, as well as the remote services provided to researchers, people with disabilities, children, and young people. The BA also offers live tours of its museums, and broadcasts its cultural and artistic works on its official YouTube channel.
