The Bibliotheca Alexandrina Center of Francophone Activities (CAF), in cooperation with Senghor University in Alexandria, organizes its annual conference to celebrate the International Francophonie Day, which takes place this year under the title “Egypt in the African Francophone Sphere”, and runs throughout 30 and 31 March 2021.

The conference sheds light on Egypt’s major efforts towards the development of the African continent, and its position as a cultural hotspot in the Arab region through its vast heritage and long history, together with its unique geographical location in the African Francophone sphere. These privileges allow Egypt to achieve its vision and goals in the fields of development, while maintaining stability and promoting Africa’s investment opportunities.

The conference is divided into two sessions: “Common Challenges in the Fields of History and Culture”, and “Political and Economic Cooperation.” Both sessions will host a number of prominent public figures, ambassadors, and consuls from Egypt and several Francophone countries.
