Alexandria, 20 July 2005—The Calligraphy Center in collaboration with the Young People’s Library at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA), is organizing the fourth hieroglyphic course for children and youth. The course will feature Dr. Rania Marzipan, Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, University of Alexandria.

This course was arranged in response to many requests by Egyptians who want to learn hieroglyphics, as it is associated with several fields such as Fine Arts and Engineering. In addition, the Center is keen on raising public awareness of Egyptology, which so far has been limited to the specialized students although it is taught in many international centers in France, Spain, the United Kingdom, and USA.

The course is made up of two weekly lectures beginning 4 August, 5-7 pm, on Sunday and Wednesday in the activity room of the Young People’s Library.
