Opening the ALEXploratorium at the PSC

Alexandria—Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the BA and Eng. Hoda El-Mikaty, Director of the PSC opened the ALEXploratorium on Sunday, 28 January 2007 following its renovation to receive students during the mid year vacation.
Eng. Hoda El-Mikaty stated that the center is organizing distinguished activities for students during the mid year vacation to develop their scientific culture. The program started in January with "the Science Club" program, followed by a series of lectures on "the Global Water Day" from 27 January until 17 March 2007.
"Future City" program will start in February, followed by lectures on the "New Solar System", and "Neptune- the Blue Giant", in addition to a competition on "Sports Olympics". February will also feature "Science Across the World" and "RoboALEX" Programs.
"Zoom Earth" program will start in mid-February and will continue until May, followed by a workshop on "Human Body" (for school students only) from 18 February until 1 March 2006. ZERI educational program will start 28 February and last until 30 April 2007.
