Embassies of Knowledge Organize Sign Language Workshops

Posted on

The BA Embassies of Knowledge organized a series of workshops to introduce sign language as part of the library's constant efforts to raise awareness of the issues that people with disabilities face, as well as the pioneering initiative launched by President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi to dedicate the year 2018 to people with disabilities.

The Embassies of Knowledge at the universities of Cairo, Ain Shams, Fayoum, Zagazig and others organized workshops to teach university students the principles of sign language used by the hearing impaired to communicate with others. A large group of deaf and hearing-impaired people participated in these workshops.

The embassies also organized awareness workshops on Autism and how to develop the skills of autistic children as part of World Autism Day.

These events were organized in order to participate effectively and interact with all issues affecting Egyptian society. The BA has thus established bridges of communication and interconnection with all members of society.
