The author of the El-Gazayerli Encyclopedia is one of the main historians of Alexandria, and his work mentions more than 1350 personalities commemorated in the city’s street names. The work serves as a useful reference to the streets of Alexandria.

The Book Launch Ceremony features short talks by Dr. Mohamed Awad, Alex Med Director, Writer Ibrahim Abd El-Meguid, and Dr. Fathy Abu Aiana, Professor of Geography. It is attended by Chancellor Farid Fahmy El-Gazayerli, and Dr. Samir Fahmy El-Gazayerli, the author’s sons, who allowed and assisted the publication of this Encyclopedia.
