The BA Organizes the African League of Young Masters’ Ninth Graduation Ceremony

The BA Sustainable Development Studies, Youth Capacity Building, and African Relations Support Program organizes the African League of Young Masters’ ninth annual graduation ceremony on Tuesday, 28 September 2021, at 12:00 pm, in the BACC Great Hall.

The ceremony will be inaugurated by Dr. Moustafa Elfeki, Director of the BA, and Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education, with the attendance of representatives of ministries, presidents of several Egyptian universities, and ambassadors of African countries. The event celebrates the graduation of more than 500 African students (from Sudan, South Sudan, Uganda, Malawi, Comoros, Somalia, Kenya, Nigeria, and Egypt) who are studying at different Egyptian universities.

The celebration will include welcoming statements by a host of public figures with a major interest in African affairs, namely Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University; Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University; and Ambassador Mohammed Khalil, Secretary General of the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD).

The event will also include a lecture delivered by Dr. Hesham El-Askary, Professor of Remote Sensing and Earth System Science, Chapman University, USA.

It is worth mentioning that the BA Sustainable Development Studies, Youth Capacity Building, and African Relations Support Program holds a number of weekly programs that aim to develop the skills and knowledge of young Egyptians and Africans on topics such as sustainable development, climate awareness, and the preservation of natural resources
