The Arts and Multimedia Library started hosting film screenings for members of the Alexandria NeuroCinema Club as an attempt to create a link between art and science. The screenings are a means to highlight the importance of establishing a correlation between the art community and the science community, and they aim to change the audience’s view and opinion of neuroscience films. The screenings feature pre-selected films that, in one way or another, relate to neuroscience. Each screening is followed by a discussion or a presentation conducted by an expert on the topic—usually a neuroscience university professor. This gives participants the chance to engage in a group discussion to analyze the film and its themes.
