The BA’s Cairo-based Sennari House is organizing an oud workshop. The workshop will be taught by Mohamed Hussein, a graduate of the Higher Institute of Arabic Music. It will include an introductions to oud playing, chords, the basics of musical notation, and Western, Eastern, and improvised types of maqam. Participants will also get the chance to play some musical pieces and songs and will receive technical and practical training.
