Engineer^3: IEEE Midyear Event

On Friday, 19 February 2010, ISIS has sponsored a one day seminar organized by IEEE Alexandria student branch (www.alexsb.org) -held at the BA Conference Centre- that was of great use to; Computer, Communication and Power Engineers. The objective of this seminar was to re-unite the main Electrical Engineering Departments. The seminar involved three lectures starting with Dr. Noha Adly, Professor in the Computer Science Department, faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University, who delivered a lecture with the title “History of Computers and Communications and their future”. She talked about the evolution of communication and computers throughout the years, and the efforts, contributions, and inventions of the figures who have literary changed the world. Also Engineer Hesham Salah delivered a lecture “Basic Software Development In Automotive Industry” discussing three main points: future vehicle technologies, AutoSar standards, and basic software in automotives. This seminar was not all technical, but it also had a business aspect where Mr. Yousry El Ghitany, CEO of Entrepreneurs Business Forum, gave a lecture about “Entrepreneurship in Business” highlighting the characteristics that makeup a good entrepreneur.
