Environment Day 2012
08 October 2012 - 08 October 2012

Uder the theme "Enviromental Awareness", the Planetarium Science Center (PSC) celebrates the Environment Day for the fourth year. The event focuses on raising the public knowledge about issues related to their surrounding environment. The message the festivity aims to convey is that our lifestyle has local and global imapcts.

Children must be taught at an early age about recycling, conserving energy, and keeping their surroundings clean. This is because giving children the right foundation on environmental concerns will help them become better citizens of the world, as they will be encouraged to make the planet a safer place to live for generations to come.

The day’s agenda aims to give a human face to environmental issues; empower people to become active agents of sustainable and equitable development. Environment Day is a colorful event with different activities such as bicycle riding, poster competitions, tree planting as well as recycling.
